Hold that Christmas list! Today Nintendo announced that the Wii Zapper will launch in Europe on 7th December – and at a reasonable price. The gun, which will retail at around $23.66 , snugly holds the Wiimote on top of the barrel and the nunchuks clip on the back.

It will come bundled with Link’s Crossbow Training - a 12-rated shooter – for what will effectively be an infinitely cooler reincarnation of NES launch title, Duck Hunt. It might even fit in your stocking.
Oh yeah, and it bears more than a passing resemblance to a Star Trek phaser rifle.
